HIV reporting; neoplasms; type 2 diabetes; hypertensive heart disease

ICD 10 CM:

New codes in the digestive system, neoplasms, neurology, eye conditions, musculoskeletal, genitourinary, adverse reactions & effects; external cause activity codes.  Non-pressure wounds contain a very large number of new codes that are very specific  in location.  

ICD 10 PCS:

New codes in the medical-surgical circulatory system; central nervous system; heart & great vessels; upper arteries; lower arteries; ear, nose, sinus; mouth & throat; Hepatobiliary System and Pancreas; upper joints; lower joints; physiological systems; rehabilitation, new technology.

The new updates for ICD-10-PCS will affect 14 tables. 

There are many new codes in the New Technology tables involving multiple systems. All new codes will begin with “X” & end with qualifier character “B” for New Technology, group 11.
